Dr. Jeisson Cárdenas-Rubio is a labour economist who works at the Institute for Employment Research in the United Kingdom He has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank, among other institutions. With extensive experience in skills and occupational change, green labour market, big data analysis, labour market forecast and public policy design. His research interests focus on analysing big data sources and development of labour market information, skill shortages identification and labour market forecasting. Utilising his skills in web scraping and understanding of labour market indicators, he has developed web-based models for analysing skill mismatches where labour statistics are limited. He is also contributing as a Co-investigator to the development of a standarised Skills Classification for the UK.
